Our instinct when we see suffering is to figure out who is to blame; to analyze and take sides. This miracle of healing comes directly after Jesus teaches that he is the Light of the World. He illustrates his words with this action of compassion. Jesus gives us an example of what it looks like to skip over analyzing and blaming and run straight to compassion and action.
